Summary
US Anesthesia Partners is seeking a remote Scheduler/Data Entry Specialist to support anesthesia scheduling operations. The role focuses on collecting, entering, and maintaining surgical case data in scheduling and billing systems while coordinating with facilities, surgeon offices, providers, and patients. The purpose is to ensure accurate case posting and effective daily schedule communication across divisions.
What you'll do
- Enter surgical case information into scheduling and billing software from email, fax, and phone submissions.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, conflicts, or missing information by communicating with facilities and surgeon office staff.
- Post cases per division requirements, including demographics, procedure, diagnosis, location, case time, and estimated duration.
- Answer and manage incoming calls from surgeon offices, hospitals, surgery centers, and patients.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including anesthesia providers, facilities, surgeon staff, and patients.
- Make scheduling assignments as directed by the physician scheduler or scheduling team.
- Notify providers of daily schedules according to division requirements.
- Collaborate with other divisions for cross-coverage needs and provide backup/float coverage as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience: 1–3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of medical practices and terminology.
- Previous surgery scheduling experience preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with a multi-line phone system and ability to handle high-volume phone and computer work.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports, journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
- Strong communication skills to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Problem-solving ability in situations with limited standardization and varied variables.
- Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to meet physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation (frequent sitting and hand/finger movement; occasional standing/walking; verbal and written communication; use of office equipment).
Conditions
Work arrangement: Remote.
Status: Full-time.
Schedule: Flexible shifts varying daily between 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM; overtime may be required.
Compensation: Estimated base pay $19.95–$31.92 per hour (final offer based on skills/experience/qualifications); eligible for annual bonus (not guaranteed).
