What you'll do
- Receive, docket, and process legal documents for case records using a computer system.
- Provide courteous and cooperative assistance to judges, attorneys, and the public.
- Answer telephones and handle related communications.
- Certify documents as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Clerk of the District Court.
Requirements
Education: High school graduation required.
Experience: One year of clerical experience required, or 30 college semester hours (or equivalent) may substitute for the required experience.
Skills: Ability to perform accurate computer data entry and operate standard office equipment.
Desirable: Experience with Microsoft Office software; working experience in a court or law office.
Conditions
Location: 14th Judicial District (Independence, Kansas).
Pay: $18.57 hourly (Grade 18).
