This Administrative Assistant role supports School of Education operations by coordinating communications, records, and logistics for meetings, travel, and events. The position helps ensure smooth administrative processes while contributing to education-related projects.
What you'll do
- Develop, send, receive, copy, and distribute communications according to established policies and procedures
- Prepare and audit complex records, edit documents, and review work completed by others
- Serve as a primary point of contact and provide organizational information through various communication channels
- Schedule logistics and secure resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit operations
- Develop, implement, and maintain organizational systems for electronic and physical records related to operations
Requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of collaborative platforms such as UW Box, Google Suite, and Microsoft Teams
- Experience planning face-to-face and online meetings and events
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams
Preferred:
- Knowledge of UW travel policies and procedures
- Experience with purchasing and procurement cards
- Experience arranging travel for others
- Customer service and hospitality skills
- Familiarity with work management tools such as Asana
Conditions
- Pay up to $24.00/hour
