Summary

Authentic Brands Group is a global lifestyle and entertainment platform integrating M&A, brand strategy, creativity, and digital innovation. The Analyst, Mergers & Acquisitions supports strategic acquisitions across fashion & lifestyle, sports, and entertainment by owning financial modeling, diligence, and analytical workstreams. This role provides end-to-end transaction exposure and interaction with senior executives and external deal partners.

What you'll do

  • Evaluate prospective deals and conduct financial and commercial due diligence on target companies; synthesize findings into executive-level decision materials.

  • Build financial models and perform valuation analyses for public and private targets.

  • Support preparation of investment memoranda and materials for executive management and board review.

  • Support live deal execution from initial evaluation through signing and closing, including managing data rooms and diligence requests.

  • Partner with M&A and Business Development teams to facilitate the sale of operating and other assets to partners as part of transactions.

  • Conduct industry, competitive, and strategic assessments to support transactions and portfolio growth.

  • Manage relationships with investment banks, legal and accounting firms, and other third-party advisors.

Requirements

  • 1–2+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, corporate development, or private equity (preferred).

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including financial statement analysis and 3-statement financial modeling with full P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet mechanics.

  • High attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Advanced Excel proficiency (functions, shortcuts, pivots) and strong PowerPoint skills.

  • Knowledge of consumer retail and entertainment industries (desirable).

  • Collaborative working style, strong work ethic, and ability to meet deadlines across multiple assignments.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior executives.

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic achievement.
