Office Assistant
Summary
Lensa promotes this role on behalf of SSM Health. The Office Assistant supports a clinic, department, or program by providing administrative and clerical support to help operations run smoothly.
The position focuses on front-desk support, phone handling, record maintenance, and assisting with basic office and patient-related administrative tasks according to established protocols.
What you'll do
- Perform administrative duties under supervision and within established guidelines.
- Greet patients and visitors.
- Answer, screen, and route telephone calls.
- File documents, distribute mail, and complete general clerical tasks.
- Assist providers with programs/software as needed.
- Assemble and maintain patient charts.
- Make copies, schedule appointments, answer phones, and maintain records.
- Maintain office inventory, including ordering supplies.
- Ensure office equipment is working properly and request repairs/maintenance as needed.
- Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members regarding patient care according to protocol.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education: High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
Experience: No experience required.
Certifications/Licenses: None required.
Physical requirements: Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling 0–25 lbs; occasional 25–50 lbs; frequent sitting/standing/walking/reaching and repetitive movements; frequent keyboarding/data entry; occasional bending/stooping/kneeling/squatting/twisting/gripping; rare climbing; frequent vision/hearing/speech use.

Schedule: Day Shift (United States of America).
Hours: 40 scheduled weekly hours.
