Office Assistant
Summary
SSM Health is seeking an Office Assistant to support a clinic, department, or program in an administrative capacity. The role focuses on front-desk and clerical support such as greeting patients, handling calls, scheduling, maintaining records, and assisting with office operations.
What you'll do
Greet patients and visitors and provide general front-desk support.
Answer, screen, and route telephone calls.
File documents, distribute mail, and perform general clerical duties.
Make appointments, maintain records, and perform copying and phone support.
Assist providers with programs/software as needed.
Assemble and maintain patient charts as needed.
Maintain office inventory, order supplies, and help ensure office equipment is working; request repairs/maintenance when needed.
Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members about patient care according to protocol.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education: High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
Experience: No experience required.
Certifications/Licensure: None required.
Physical requirements: Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling 0–25 lbs; occasional 25–50 lbs; frequent sitting/standing/walking/reaching and repetitive movements; frequent keyboard use/data entry; occasional bending/stooping/kneeling/squatting/twisting/gripping; rare climbing; frequent vision/hearing/speech use.

Schedule: 40 scheduled weekly hours.
