Mind Friend is a fast-growing telehealth platform providing accessible psychological support remotely. The Telehealth Psychologist Assistant supports licensed psychologists by serving as the first point of contact for clients and ensuring smooth clinical operations. The role focuses on client onboarding, scheduling, communication, and compliance in a fully remote care setting.
What you'll do
- Guide new clients through the intake process and ensure paperwork, consent forms, and assessments are completed before the first session
- Coordinate calendars, schedule appointments, and manage cancellations and rescheduling for multiple psychologists
- Support virtual sessions by troubleshooting video, audio, and platform connectivity issues for clients
- Assist with clinical administration by preparing session materials, organizing electronic health records (EHR), and proofreading non-clinical documentation
- Respond to patient inquiries via email and secure messaging with professionalism, warmth, and promptness
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure work is compliant with HIPAA and other patient privacy regulations
Requirements
Experience: 3+ years working as a psychology assistant, psychiatric technician, medical assistant in mental health, or similar clinical support role
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related field
Technical: Proficiency with telehealth software, electronic health records (EHR), and secure communication platforms
Soft skills: High emotional intelligence, active listening, and ability to remain calm and supportive with individuals experiencing distress
Compliance: Strong understanding of HIPAA guidelines and best practices for patient data security
