Summary
Finalsite is a community relationship management platform for K-12 schools, supporting websites, communications, mobile apps, enrollment, and marketing services used by thousands of schools worldwide. The Technical Support Engineer, Data role supports client data needs via ticketing and chat, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to keep customer data accurate across Finalsite platforms.
What you'll do
- Resolve client data-related questions, tasks, and issues across Finalsite software platforms via ticketing and chat.
- Perform data sanitization, verification, import, and export functions.
- Update and maintain data mappings using XML and XSLT.
- Advise and educate clients on best practices and platform usage.
- Schedule and lead phone calls or Zoom meetings to collaborate on escalated issues.
- Create, execute, and modify SQL scripts to resolve issues, optimize database calls, and support integrations with third-party systems (e.g., Student Information Systems).
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and modify software that interacts with third-party APIs for data integration.
- Collaborate with Data Integration Engineers to ensure integrations, authentications, and SSO function as expected.
- Stay informed on best practices and functionality across integration partners and new product features.
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and write detailed bug reports and product enhancement requests.
- Assist with integration deployments as needed.
- Provide excellent product knowledge and customer service to strengthen the Finalsite brand.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets functionality.
- API experience preferred.
- Experience with CMS-based websites preferred (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Weebly, Joomla).
- Prior customer service or technical support experience preferred (2–5 years).
- Ability to multitask and remain patient in challenging situations.
- Ability to cover evening and weekend hours as required.
- Must be a permanent resident of the United States and maintain U.S. residency for employment.
