As a Senior Business System Analyst, you will design core trading processes and define system interactions for a modern, high-load retail trading platform. You will collaborate with Product, Architecture, Development, and QA teams to deliver clear requirements and ensure platform scalability.
What you'll do
- Gather, clarify, and document business requirements in collaboration with the Product Manager
- Perform business and system analysis for trading-related processes including pricing, account operations, and order/position lifecycle
- Define AS-IS/TO-BE flows, system boundaries, service responsibilities and integrations with supporting diagrams
- Analyze and define key platform components: order routing and execution logic, pricing and quote distribution, margin and leverage calculation, risk and stop-out logic, account configuration and permissions, and non-functional requirements
- Define requirements for internal/admin tools including monitoring dashboards, risk monitoring, and account management tools
- Work with architects and developers on API specifications, message formats, validation rules, and error handling
- Define and document integration contracts with internal and external systems
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation in Confluence with diagrams and specifications
- Collaborate with QA to ensure comprehensive test coverage for functional, integration, and edge cases
- Provide insights on business and technical challenges, proposing options and trade-offs to product and management teams
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Business or Systems Analyst, preferably in trading or fintech
- Strong experience defining and documenting functional and non-functional requirements
- Hands-on experience with trading system components: order types/execution logic, margin/leverage calculations, risk management and stop-out rules, account/group configuration
- Solid systems analysis skills: modeling integrations and data flows between services, creating sequence diagrams, BPMN/UML diagrams and state diagrams, working with API contracts (REST/gRPC/streaming) and message schemas
- Ability to decompose complex trading and risk processes into clear, implementable steps
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- English: Upper-Intermediate or higher (spoken and written)
