Business Analyst, Commercial

Noom is a consumer-led digital health company helping people live better, longer through content, coaching, community, and clinicians. The Business Analyst, Commercial role supports Noom’s B2B team by delivering trusted analytics, reporting, and insights for enterprise clients and internal commercial decision-making.

This position partners cross-functionally with Client Success, Sales, Product, Data/Analytics Engineering, and Operations to enable accurate, scalable, and compliant self-serve insights.

What you'll do

  • Own client-facing reporting and analytics for QBRs, renewals, and expansion efforts, including engagement, outcomes, utilization, and program performance insights.

  • Deliver high-impact ad-hoc analyses for Sales, Client Success, and leadership by translating ambiguous questions into clear metrics, queries, and actionable outputs.

  • Build, maintain, and enhance Looker dashboards and explores, improving usability with standardized definitions, intuitive design, and clear documentation.

  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency by validating dashboards, managing changes in upstream data, and performing regression checks.

  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies with Data/Analytics Engineering, identify root causes, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.

  • Support operational analytics across billing, eligibility, and partner reporting requirements, driving scalability through standardization, automation, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • 3+ years of experience in business or data analytics (ideally in healthcare, benefits, or B2B SaaS).

  • Strong SQL proficiency (joins, aggregations, window functions) and ability to debug complex datasets.

  • Hands-on experience with Looker or similar BI tools building dashboards and stakeholder-facing reports.

  • Ability to translate complex or ambiguous questions into clear analyses and actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences, including explaining methodology and findings.

  • Nice to have: experience with healthcare data concepts (eligibility, enrollment, outcomes, claims).

  • Familiarity with modern data stacks (e.g., dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery) and data quality practices.

  • Preferred: experience supporting Client Success/Sales workflows (QBRs, renewals, expansion analytics).

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, ticketed environment (e.g., Jira) with shifting priorities.

Conditions

  • Full-time role.

  • Hybrid schedule with 2 days per week on-site.

  • Compensation includes US base salary range of $101,000–$129,000 annually (offer varies by experience, skills, and location).
