Summary

The Walt Disney Company (Marvel) is hiring an Analytics & Reporting Analyst to deliver actionable insights across digital and traditional publishing operations. The role focuses on building dashboards and data stories while partnering with Data Engineering and Data Ops to ensure reliable, scalable pipelines. You will support data-driven decision-making across business, product, and marketing stakeholders.

What you'll do

  • Manage analytics project lifecycles from requirements gathering through delivery, aligning timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and balance priorities across business, product, marketing, and data teams.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting and analytics frameworks to support business strategy and decision-making.
  • Design, implement, and refine reports and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Translate raw data into clear narratives and actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Partner with Data Engineering and Data Ops to define requirements, maintain data integrity, and optimize data pipelines.
  • Lead QA and validation of dashboards/reports to ensure accuracy and analytical rigor prior to release.
  • Use Databricks and AWS to manage, analyze, and scale data solutions.
  • Support A/B testing frameworks and causal inference analyses for marketing and product experiments.
  • Convert stakeholder questions into structured analytical approaches; define metrics, KPIs, and success criteria.
  • Work with product and engineering to operationalize data definitions and event tracking standards.
  • Provide insights in periodic business reviews on user behavior, content engagement, and operational efficiency.
  • Champion data literacy via trainings, onboarding guides, and one-on-one coaching.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in analytics, BI, or a related role (ideally in publishing or a subscription-based environment).
  • Expert proficiency with Tableau and open-source visualization tools (e.g., Plotly, D3.js) with strong design sensibilities.
  • Strong SQL for querying and transformation; familiarity with Python or R is highly advantageous.
  • Experience with Databricks and AWS, including data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data warehouse concepts.
  • Strong foundation in statistical methods, regression analysis, machine learning, and hypothesis testing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with developers, engineers, and diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and curious with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Information Systems, or related field (advanced degree is a plus).
