As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of production machine learning models while working directly with stakeholders to translate business problems into data science solutions. You'll mentor junior team members, drive technical excellence, and deliver measurable impact across diverse clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to Silicon Valley startups.
What you'll do
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of production machine learning models
- Work directly with stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into data science solutions
- Own projects end-to-end, from exploratory analysis and model development through deployment, monitoring, and iteration
- Mentor junior team members and drive technical excellence across engagements
- Build and maintain predictive scoring, classification, and ranking models that serve real users at scale
- Communicate findings and model recommendations to non-technical stakeholders
- Work alongside senior data engineers on production systems
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in applied data science and machine learning
- Strong statistical foundation including hypothesis testing, distributions, probability, and experimental design
- Production ML experience: building, deploying, and maintaining models at scale
- Strong Python skills including scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, and at least one deep learning framework (PyTorch or TensorFlow)
- Proven experience building predictive scoring, classification, or ranking models deployed to production at scale
- Proficiency in SQL and comfort working with large-scale data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery)
- Experience deploying RAG-based chat bots with understanding of hallucination reduction
- Experience communicating findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently across multiple projects simultaneously
- English proficiency at B2 level or above (written and spoken)
- Nice to have: LLMs, Vision-Language Models, geospatial feature engineering, MLOps tooling, cloud ML platforms, domain experience in utilities/energy/infrastructure/enterprise SaaS, model fine-tuning
