Summary
The San Diego Padres are hiring a part-time, entry-level Representative, Ticket Services within Membership Services. The role supports Season Ticket Member accounts and inbound ticket sales/service for Padres games and Petco Park events while contributing to renewal and sales goals.
What you'll do
- Provide courteous and timely customer service for 20-game season ticket Members, including questions, exchanges, requests, and issue resolution
- Assist with inbound customer service for full and half season Members
- Support inbound callers purchasing single-game tickets and tickets for non-baseball events at Petco Park
- Represent the Padres positively on game days when interacting with clients
- Serve as first point of contact in the Front Office Ticket Lobby by greeting guests, assisting requests, and notifying employees of arrivals
- Maintain knowledge of Membership benefits, policies, procedures, processes, and Petco Park information
- Learn and communicate Padres-related information (schedules, roster, ballpark/guest service information)
- Support renewal-rate goals; encourage upgrades and added seats based on purchase patterns
- Use CRM for contact management and sales pipeline tracking; keep records accurate and timely
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old by start of employment
- Currently has or is working toward a 4-year bachelor’s degree (preferred: Business, Sport Management, or related field)
- Minimum 1 year customer/guest service or sales experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment (preferred: ticket services)
- Proficient with computers and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and able to learn new software
- Experience with or ability to quickly learn CRM and a ticketing system; use CRM according to company standards
- Strong written and verbal communication; collaborative and respectful teamworking skills
- Strong customer service and ability to resolve concerns
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to multitask and handle detailed, high-volume work on deadlines
- Professional demeanor with discretion, integrity, and accountability; punctual and reliable attendance
- Fluent bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Physical ability to access various ballpark areas for prolonged periods and lift/transport up to 25 pounds
- Must pass post-offer pre-employment requirements, including a background check
Conditions
- Part-time; non-exempt
- Availability required 4–6 days per week, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed (baseball season and off-season)
- Hourly pay rate: $21.14 (subject to San Diego Living Wage Ordinance increases for part-time, non-union employees)
