Technical Support Engineer / Network Operation Center Engineer
Summary
Atlas Technica is an IT management and cybersecurity firm founded in 2016 that serves hedge funds and investment firms. The company is hiring a Technical Support Engineer/Network Operation Center Engineer to serve as the front line for alerts and requests in a multinational team. This is a full-time contract role focused on resolving user device, network, and cloud technology issues.
What you'll do
- Resolve alerts primarily consisting of user devices, circuit downs, temperature/water alerts, Cloud alerts, and SOC alerts
- Resolve requests including scheduling after-hours maintenance and device/new customer onboarding
- Communicate with vendors and customers as a point of contact
- Coordinate maintenance, after-hours repair, and patch remediation
- Complete assigned projects for the NOC and Support teams
- Maintain documentation and knowledge base with new articles and content improvements
- Recommend and improve processes to drive better outcomes
Requirements
- 3+ years of general IT experience, primarily in server, infrastructure support, and networking/circuits
- 1+ years of network experience including ITIL-based Service Operations knowledge
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server OS (all currently-supported versions)
- Cloud Products expertise: Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint/OneDrive, Exchange Online, Amazon AWS
- Identity Management knowledge: Azure AD, Okta
- EMM/MDM tools: InTune, AirWatch
- Email technologies: Mail Flow Troubleshooting, Archiving, Retention, Compliance, Proofpoint, Mimecast, Global Relay
- Networking: TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP protocols and Layer 1-3 diagnostic toolkit
- Security alert resolution from SIEM/SOC providers and Anti-Virus systems
- Fluent English communication skills
- Strong diagnostics and logical problem-solving approach
- Desirable: MSP/Consultancy experience, PowerShell scripting, RMM tools (ConnectWise Automate, SolarWinds, Nagios, CloudWatch, Zabbix), CompTIA A+/Server+/Network+ certifications or degree in Computer Science/Engineering
Conditions
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) with no rotation or on-calls. Choice of three shifts: Monday-Friday 2 PM-11 PM EST (1h unpaid lunch), Monday-Friday 6 AM-3 PM EST (1h unpaid lunch), or Monday-Friday 10 PM-7 AM EST (1h unpaid lunch)
