Data Science Intern
Summary
REVOLVE is a next-generation fashion e-commerce retailer serving Millennial and Gen Z consumers with a large curated assortment and a technology- and data-driven platform. The Data Science Intern will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver analytics and machine learning models that drive business strategy and product/marketing optimization.
What you'll do
- Partner with business leaders in Marketing, Product, Operations, and Buying to identify and plan high-value data science projects.
- Conduct complex analyses and build models to generate insights and strategy recommendations.
- Collaborate with the DBA to improve BI infrastructure and help architect the reporting system, including technical proof-of-concepts.
- Work with BI and tech teams to define, automate, and validate extraction of new metrics from multiple data sources.
- Apply findings and models to use cases such as website personalization, product recommendations, marketing optimization, fraud detection, demand forecasting, and CLV prediction.
Requirements
Core competencies: strong analytical skills with academic background in statistics, math, science, or technology; comfort with programming and learning new technology quickly; knowledge of quantitative methods in statistics and machine learning; intellectual curiosity; business acumen; logical problem-solving; attention to detail.
Minimum qualifications: proficiency in Python (including Pandas, NumPy); familiarity with statistical/ML methods (causal inference, logistic regression, tree-based models, clustering, model validation and interpretation); experience with A/B testing and pseudo-A/B evaluation; advanced SQL (including query optimization and data extracts); ability to build, validate, and productionize models.
Preferred: experience deploying end-to-end ML models; advanced SQL/Python with optimization; exposure to e-commerce marketing and product analytics.

- Compensation estimate (CA): $18.50/hour.
