Haystack is hiring a remote Game Tester to support a cutting-edge mobile gaming incubator and QA partner. The role focuses on testing unreleased mobile titles, identifying bugs and performance issues, and providing feedback to improve gameplay and UX/UI.
What you'll do
Perform comprehensive QA testing on unreleased mobile games across iOS and Android.
Execute functional testing and regression testing to identify software bugs and performance bottlenecks.
Create detailed bug reports with reproduction steps, device hardware logs, and screen recordings.
Provide qualitative feedback on game mechanics, difficulty scaling, and UI intuitiveness.
Collaborate with remote team members using Slack and project management tools to support fast sprint feedback loops.
Requirements
Must be 18+ years old.
Reliable high-speed internet connection for downloading and testing large game builds.
Proficiency with iOS and Android ecosystems and familiarity with mobile hardware specifications.
Strong attention to detail to spot graphical glitches, logic errors, and localization issues.
Strong written communication skills for clear, technical bug reports and user experience surveys.
Previous experience with mobile apps or beta testing environments (preferred).
Conditions
Pay: $500–$600 per month (average).
Schedule: Flexible side-gig, approximately 5–10 hours per week.
