Trainee Manual QA Engineer IRC290172

GlobalLogic is seeking a Trainee Manual QA Engineer to support testing of a desktop application for a major US-based medical equipment manufacturer. The role involves executing test cases, documenting results, and collaborating with development teams to ensure software quality.

• Execute test cases and document results for desktop application testing
• Report and track software issues and defects
• Set up and configure virtual machines using VMware and Oracle VirtualBox for testing purposes
• Collaborate with developers and QA team members on quality assurance activities
• Learn and apply QA best practices and testing methodologies

• Basic understanding of software testing principles, types, techniques, and software development lifecycle
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of relational databases, preferably SQL Server; ability to write and execute simple SQL queries (SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE)
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to document test cases and results clearly
• Basic knowledge of virtualization tools such as VMware and Oracle VirtualBox
• English proficiency sufficient to read technical documentation
• Willingness to learn and grow in the QA field

This is a trainee position focused on development and learning in quality assurance. Work involves testing a desktop application that connects to medical equipment via USB or Bluetooth.
