Scrambly is a fast-growing adtech startup building a reward-powered alternative to app stores, serving millions of users across web and mobile platforms. We are seeking a Senior Manual QA Engineer to own the end-to-end quality process for features and releases, ensuring production readiness and preventing issues before they impact revenue and user trust.
What you'll do
- Quality Ownership: Own end-to-end quality process for features and releases, define test strategy based on risk and business impact, ensure release readiness with QA sign-off, and proactively identify weak points in product flows and edge cases
- Advanced Manual Testing: Perform deep functional, regression, cross-browser, and responsive testing across web and mobile platforms (iOS & Android), validate complex flows (payments, offers, analytics events, integrations), perform API testing using Postman and Swagger, and validate analytics tracking and business-critical metrics
- Risk & Defect Management: Identify high-risk scenarios before release, document clear and reproducible defects with strong prioritization, verify fixes and ensure no regressions, and collaborate with developers to resolve root causes
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Challenge requirements and clarify ambiguities with Product, validate UI accuracy against Figma, ensure full requirement and edge-case coverage, and contribute to improving QA standards and processes
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in manual QA (web + mobile)
- Strong understanding of risk-based testing
- Deep knowledge of functional, regression, and cross-platform testing
- Solid experience in REST API testing using Postman and Swagger
- Basic SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL)
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Experience with mobile proxy tools (Proxyman or similar)
- Upper-Intermediate English (B2+) or higher
- Nice to Have: Familiarity with analytics validation tools (Mixpanel, Segment), background in fast-paced startups, mentoring experience, B2C or high-traffic consumer product experience, end-to-end testing of multi-step user flows, basic exposure to load or performance testing tools (JMeter, k6)
