Summary
Gismart is seeking a Mobile QA Engineer for the FitMe product to design and execute comprehensive test scenarios, maintain quality documentation, and ensure product stability across iOS and Android platforms. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate features, manage defects, and take ownership of product quality while supporting release candidates and A/B testing initiatives.
What you'll do
- Test features against requirements and analyze acceptance criteria using test design techniques to maximize coverage and minimize risks
- Document and prioritize defects with reproducible steps, screenshots/logs, and clear descriptions
- Maintain test documentation including checklists and regression notes as the product scales
- Prepare Release Candidates for production by validating build stability and working with JSON configuration files
- Set up and validate A/B tests by defining conditions and ensuring experiments run correctly for target user segments
- Participate in cross-team activities including planning, retros, and discussions with development, analytics, design, and marketing teams
Requirements
- 2+ years of QA experience, preferably in mobile or cross-platform products
- Ability to work independently with requirements, design test scenarios, and assess risks
- Strong understanding of mobile platforms (iOS & Android): architecture basics, UI/UX patterns, background behavior, permissions, and app lifecycle
- Ability to select and justify test devices based on target audience, market, and product specifics
- Understanding of iOS Sandbox and Google Wallet limitations, security policies, and payment/authorization testing
- Experience with mobile testing and debugging tools: Charles Proxy, Xcode & Android Studio, Jenkins or other CI/CD tools
- Plus: Product company experience, API testing, subscription-based products, content-based applications
