Summary
LinkedIn is seeking an Associate, Strategic Finance to support the Marketing Strategic Finance team (Marketing Horizontals & Foundations). The role delivers financial insights that guide how Marketing plans, tracks, and allocates investments across programs and headcount in a hybrid office environment.
What you'll do
- Support financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across Marketing programs and headcount.
- Create, maintain, and update basic financial models and forecasts for assigned metrics.
- Access, transform, and synthesize data from cross-platform sources to identify signals, trends, and risks.
- Develop hypotheses from observed signals and execute ad hoc analyses to answer well-defined business questions.
- Translate analyses into clear narratives and materials to support senior-leadership decision-making.
- Communicate implications of forecasts, analyses, and trends to management and cross-functional stakeholders with appropriate business context.
- Support strategy development with business partners within a limited scope, including routine pressure testing of growth opportunities.
- Operationalize ideas into execution plans with guidance from senior team members.
- Help establish standard workstreams and operational processes following defined procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design experiments aimed at closing deviations from targets.
- Identify obstacles within immediate scope and provide recommendations.
- Contribute to culture and values initiatives; seek and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 1+ years in finance, finance/accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Analytical: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
- Communication: Ability to clearly present analyses and discuss recommendations with cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders.
- Tools: Proficiency in Excel.
- Preferred tools: Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, and/or Power BI for analytics and visualization; familiarity with Oracle EPM tools (plus).
- Work style: Collaborative, team-first mindset; proactive and intellectually curious; comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Conditions
- Work model: Hybrid (both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days as determined by business needs).
- Office options: San Francisco, Sunnyvale/Mountain View, or New York City.
- Compensation: Pay range stated as $80,000–$128,000 annually; total compensation may include annual bonus, stock, and benefits.
